For the second straight week, a Wyoming women's basketball player has earned Mountain West Player of the Week honors.

Forward Kayla Woodward was named Mountain West Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Feb. 10-16, 2014.

It is her first MW weekly accolade of the season and the fifth of her career.

Woodward, a junior from Sheridan, Wyo., led Wyoming to a 2-0 record last week with Conference victories at San Diego State (69-60) and against San José State (103-80).

For the week, she averaged 23.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game, while shooting 50 percent from the field (17-of-34) and a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe.

Woodward helped stop a five-game losing streak to the Aztecs with a 17-point, eight-rebound performance.

Against the Spartans, scored a career-high 29 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and made four steals, while shooting 11-of-18 from the field (.611), including 4-of-8 from behind the three-point arc.
