Addie Pendergast of Sheridan is certainly enjoying her sophomore season. She has the best times in the girl's ranks on the Wyoming track scene in 2 events, the 100-meter dash and the 400. She ran 12.40 in Broomfield, Colorado against top-notch competition and posted a 56.18 time in the 400 in that same meet.

Last week at the Buffalo meet, Pendergast swept the sprint events, going 12.48 in the 100, 25.65 in the 200, and 57.51 in the 400. She won that 400-meter race by a considerable distance.

A year ago, Pendergast ran for Tongue River and won the 2A State Championship in the 100-meter dash with a clocking of 13.03. She also won the state title in the 400 in 56.88 and the 800 meter run in 2.20.02. Pendergast also ran the anchor leg on Tongue River's state championship 1600 medley relay team.

She looks to be in a class of her own in the sprints and it will be interesting to see how the season progresses and what she can accomplish at the State Meet next month in Casper.

We had a chance to talk to Pendergast after her impressive effort in the 400 in Buffalo on Saturday.  Plus, take a look at some more photos from that meet on Saturday in Johnson County
