Star Valley's Jonah Manu Places Top 10 at Adidas Track Nationals

Star Valley thrower Jonah Manu finished in eighth place and earned a medal in the discus at the Adidas Track Nationals in Greensboro, North Carolina, last weekend. Manu competed in the National Elite Division. His best toss was on his first throw of 152 feet, 8 inches, or 46.54 meters.

Manu completed his junior season at SVHS last month. He had three other qualified throws at the Adidas track meet, but none that topped his first. Manu's other throws went 137-10, 149-10, and 142-09. He scratched his last two. The winner of the discus event threw 166-01.

Jonah placed fourth in the discus at the 2026 4A State Track Championships with a toss of 156-08. He was second at the 4A West Regional track meet. That was where Manu registered his personal-best throw of 169-00, which is second-best in school history.

Good job, Jonah! Way to represent the 307 in North Carolina.
