The 2026 All-Class Wyoming High School Track and Field Championships are Thursday through Saturday in Casper at Kelly Walsh’s Harry Geldien Stadium. It’s three days full of action from all four classifications on a timed schedule. The championships begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday. It continues at 9 a.m. both Friday and Saturday. The state track meet should conclude around 4:30 on Saturday afternoon.

2026 Final State Track Meet Results

The state champions in the girls' divisions were Southeast in 1A, Big Horn in 2A, Lander in 3A for a second straight year, and Natrona County repeated in 4A.

For the boys, Saratoga won the 1A title. Big Horn won its fourth consecutive 2A team crown. Cody topped 3A, and Sheridan won its third 4A team title in a row.

1A: Cokeville's Addison Barnes went 4-for-4. She won the 1A 200 meters, 400 meters, 100 hurdles, and 300 hurdles. She set class records in the 400 meters (58.22 seconds) and 300 hurdles (44.79 seconds). Saratoga's Brody Johnson won 3 events in the boys' division. He took 1st in the 200 meters, 110 hurdles, and 300 hurdles. Johnson added a runner-up in the 100 meters.

2A: Wright's Mili Meza Perdomo was another 4-event winner. She won the 200 meters, 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, and long jump. She set a class record in the 200 meters (24.91). Big Horn's Lyla Marney swept the distance races. She won the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters. She set a class record in the 3200 (11:01.06). Greybull's Wyatt Whaley won both of the girls' throwing events. Big Horn's Rio Hernandez led the boys' division, as he swept the 2A 100, 200, and 400 meters. Teammate Chase Garber swept the boys' throwing events.

3A: Lander's Paisley Hollingshead went 4-for-4. The junior won the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles, high jump, and long jump. Lander teammate Dorothy Jensen won the three distance races, the 800, 1600, and 3200 meters. She also helped Lander win the 4x800 relay. Worland's Cherise Douzenis won 3 individual events and helped the Warriors win the 1600 Sprint Medley relay. She took 1st place in the 100, 200, and 400 meters. Douzenis broke a class record in the 400 meters (56.69 seconds) that dated back to 1985 (56.93). In the boys' division, Lovell's Matthew Newman won 4 individual events. He took 1st in the 400 meters, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, and triple jump. Hunter Anderson from Douglas swept the shot put and discus titles.

4A: Derrick Murphy from Cheyenne East won 3 individual events. He took 1st in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump. 4A was highlighted by overall state records set in the girls' 4x100 relay (KW - 47.65), 4x400 relay (NC - 3:53.31), 4x800 relay (Central - 9:25.04), and discus (KW - Lillian Hudson - 162-07). Overall state records in the boys included the 200 meters (Central - Tegan Krause - 21.00), 4x100 relay (NC - 41.84), and 4x400 relay (Central - 3:17.39).

 

Last year, eight state records were set at the championships. Six of those were boys’ records. That was in the 400 meters, 3200 meters, 4x400 relay, 4x800 relay, pole vault, and triple jump. The girls’ all-time marks came in the 4x100 relay and shot put.

There are eight champions back to defend their individual event titles in Class 1A. Seven returns in 2A. Class 3A has the largest contingent of defending event champions with 13. 4A has ten.

The only two who won four events last year and return are Addison Barnes from Cokeville and Cole Rogers of Kemmerer.

Day 1 of the 2026 state track meet was suspended for a period of time because of the weather. Click the button below for an updated schedule. Some events were not finished because of the weather and will be resumed later in the competition. Most of those are field events, but 100 and 110-meter hurdle races were pushed back to Friday at 9 a.m. That has also adjusted Friday morning's schedule on the track for the 800-meter finals, 200-meter prelims, and 300-meter hurdle prelims.

Friday Recap of the State Track Meet

Southeast's Kaycee Kosmicki repeated as the 800-meter champion in 1A girls. Whitney Barritt of Upton repeated as champion and set a new 1A class record in the girls' pole vault at 11-01. Freshman Kellen Winters from Burlington won his second race, as he won the 800 meters on Friday.

In 2A, Lyla Marney of Big Horn won her second race, this one in the 800 meters.

In 3A, Dorothy Jensen from Lander took 1st in the 800 meters, which was her second victory of the season. Lander won the 4x800-meter relay in a class record time of 9:37.49. Lander's Paisley Hollingshead defended her crown in the high jump at 5-05. Teammate Adelyn Anderson won her second straight shot put title. On the boys' side, Burns took 1st in the 4x100-meter relay with a class record time of 42.98 seconds. Lovell's Matthew Newman defended his title in the triple jump at 46-08. Hunter Anderson of Douglas won his second consecutive discus title at 163-07.

In 4A, Laramie's Lainey Berryhill won her second straight 800-meter title. Kelly Walsh set a new overall state record in winning the 4x100-meter relay at 47.65 seconds. Cheyenne Central set a new overall state record in their victory in the 4x800-meter relay at 9:25.04. Lillian Hudson from Kelly Walsh set a new overall state record in her second straight discus victory at 162-07. In the boys' division, NC set a new overall state record in the 4x100-meter relay, winning in 41.84 seconds.

Two class records were set during Thursday's abbreviated action. Burlington freshman Kelli McNiven set the 1A girls' record in the 3200 meters at 11:50.47. In Class 2A, Lyla Marney from Big Horn set the girls' record in the 3200 meters at 11:01.06.
