The 1A 9 Man West Conference is a logjam with Big Piney, Shoshoni, and Greybull vying for top seeds for the upcoming postseason tournament. Shoshoni put themselves in contention with a 32-6 win over Rocky Mountain to get to 5-2 on the season.

Shoshoni got the ball rolling in this contest with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Braxton Mills to Morgan Neil to give the Wranglers an early 7-0 lead. Rocky Mountain jumped back into the game with a TD connection from Joaquin Scheeler to Mason Moss so at this juncture, the Grizzlies trailed 7-6.

That would be the last points for Rocky Mountain for the evening as Quinton Clark had a super game for Shoshoni. He had an 80-yard kick-off return for a touchdown, a fumble recovery for the score off a blocked punt, and a 32-yard touchdown catch. Carson Kisling added a one-yard scoring run as the Wranglers would win this going away.

Shoshoni has a gigantic game at Big Piney on Saturday which will play a big part in the conference championship. Here's the Wranglers playoff scenario: No. 1 seed with a win over Big Piney and a Greybull loss to Wyoming Indian; No. 3 seed with a loss; 1-2-3 points tiebreaker with a win over Big Piney and a Greybull win over Wyoming Indian. No. 1 seed with a win over Big Piney by 8 points or more; No. 3 seed with a win by 7 points or fewer because that would put them 2nd in the tiebreaker, which puts BP as the No. 1 seed, and then reverts to the head-to-head tiebreaker against Greybull, which the Buffs win. Current points tiebreaker = Big Piney +10, Greybull -5, Shoshoni -5.

Rocky Mountain is 1-5 on the year and will play Wind River to wrap up the regular season. This is a huge game as well with the winner getting the #4 seed from the West in the 9-Man ranks and the loser is eliminated.
