
Wyoming High School Skiing Scoreboard: Jan. 24-25, 2025
Both skiing disciplines will be in action this weekend. The second Alpine skiing races of the 2025 season will be in Laramie on Friday and Saturday. The third Nordic competition is at Lander on the same two days.
WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL SKIING SCHEDULE AND RESULTS WEEK 6
The 2025 Alpine skiing season continues with the Laramie Invitational at Snowy Range Ski Area. Both days of competition will be on the Sundance ski run at Snowy Range. Friday will be the slalom, and Saturday will be the giant slalom (GS). The varsity girls ski first, followed by the varsity boys.
This week, Cody, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, and Pinedale are the schools competing in downhill skiing.
Final Girls Team Scores = Jackson 126, Cody 61, Pinedale 60, Natrona County 53, Kelly Walsh 33, Laramie 9.
Final Boys Team Scores = Jackson 139, Pinedale 106, Natrona County & Kelly Walsh tied 31, Laramie 23, Cody 12.
FRIDAY SLALOM RESULTS
Jackson's Madeline Ryan won the slalom in the girls' division with a combined time of 1:30.15. Teammates Lily Steinberg and Callie Owens took second and third, respectively.
For the boys', Nico Tozzi of Jackson won it with a combined time of 1:27.34. Teammates Brett Lane and Teddy Peightal finished second and third.
SATURDAY GS RESULTS
Evie Crawford of NC took the girls' title with a 2-run combined time of 1:13.09. Jackson's Dylan Witherite and Neve Pruzan came in second and third place, respectively. Nico Tozzi of Jackson completed the weekend sweep with the best time after two runs at 1:10.55. Adi Wetzler from Jackson took second, and James Tolson of Pinedale was third.
Nordic Skiing
The Lander Invitational Nordic Ski races will be the fourth competition of the season. They will be held at the Lander Golf Course and Beaver Creek trails. Friday's event is a 1.5km Sprint Freestyle loop starting at 11:30 a.m. Each athlete will ski three to four rounds of heats. A new round will start every 2.5 to 5 minutes in an assigned heat. The last round will begin no later than 4 p.m.
Saturday’s races will be at the Beaver Creek trails on South Pass southwest of Lander. It is a 7.5km classic race for high school competitors. The race starts at 10 a.m., and features interval starts every 15 seconds.
The schools competing this weekend are Casper Kelly Walsh, Casper Natrona County, Cody, Jackson, Lander, Laramie, Pinedale, and Sheridan.
FRIDAY SPRINT FREESTYLE RESULTS
The champions were Kayley Alicke of Sheridan for the girls and Jack Voos of Laramie for the boys. The final results are in the far right column in the link below.
SATURDAY CLASSIC RACE RESULTS
Olivia Tolson from Pinedale won the girls' race at 30:48. Twyla Beason of Lander took second, and Kayley Alicke of Sheridan came in third.
Fisk Johansson of Kelly Walsh captured the boys' race at 24:03. His teammate Everett Roberson finished second, and Kalel Brubaker of Natrona took third.
