Nordic Skiing

The 2026 all-state awards for the Wyoming High School Nordic skiing were earned based on the finishes during all races throughout the season.

This year’s championships feature a shorter freestyle or skate race and a longer classic race.

The regular season of Wyoming High School skiing ends this weekend outside of Pinedale.

Both Nordic and Alpine competitors will be in action for the third straight weekend.

For the second straight week, both downhill and cross-country skiers will compete on the same weekend. This time, both will be on the same mountain in Casper.

Pinedale senior Kaylea Mortensen and Kelly Walsh senior Everett Roberson were the winners based on last week’s performances.

Week 7 of the Wyoming High School season has both disciplines in action on the same weekend for the first time.

The Laramie High School Invitational will be at the Snowy Range Ski and Recreation Area on Friday and Saturday.

Cross-country skiers will compete for a second straight week, while the Alpine or downhill skiing season will have to wait a little longer.

Teams were supposed to begin the new season three weeks ago in Jackson.
