Big games are on the schedule this week, according to the latest coaches/media rankings.

Four of the 5 ranked 4A boys teams held their position in the newest poll and all 5 teams will ranked opponents. #5 Laramie will have the most difficult challenge as they play #3 Gillette and #1 Sheridan, back-to-back on the road. Natrona is new to the rankings at #4, and play at #2 Riverton on Friday, in what will be a first place battle in the 4A West.

The same 5 teams are ranked in 3A Boys, but the order got changed around a little bit. Jackson and Buffalo remain #1 and #5 respectively, and will meet this Saturday in Worland. The bigger game is the big rematch in the southeast, when #3 Torrington visits #2 Lander. The 2 teams played to a 4-4 draw, 3 weeks ago, making the rematch even bigger. As for Worland, they drop 1 spot, to #4.

For the 4A Girls...one team has to play all their remaining games on the road, while another has all home games left on their schedule. #4 Laramie has all home games left, and it starts this weekend, when they host #2 Gillette and #1 Sheridan, back-to-back. For Sheridan and Gillette, they must make 3 trips to southern Wyoming in 4 weeks. First at Cheyenne South and Laramie, then at Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central, then at Gillette to face each other, then back to Cheyenne East for the Regional Tournament. Cheyenne East holds steady at #3 in the rankings and Green River now has the #5 spot all to themselves.

There was a big shake-up in the 3A Girls Rankings, based on last week's results. Jackson is now the new #1. Like the boys, they also will travel to Worland on Saturday, to play #5 Buffalo. #3 Worland just dropped a 5-1 decision at #2 Cody earlier this week. On Saturday, the Lady Warriors host former #1, now #4 Star Valley, who is also looking to rebound, after a bad weekend.
