Mountain View senior Kodi Allred will continue her softball career at the Division I level after inking her National Letter of Intent with the University of Montana last week. Allred committed to the Lady Griz on Oct. 7, 2024, and made it official last Wednesday. The three-time all-state and all-conference selection plays high school softball for the Green River Wolves.

Allred drives 60-plus miles to practice and play for the Wolves during the spring high school season. She has helped Green River qualify for the state tournament all three years in her prep career. Her senior season is coming up next spring. Allred has also played club softball for Wicked 307 in Gillette, WY, and CV Blue Sox 18U Elite in Logan, UT. Kodi started by playing Little League baseball and then played in the Evanston Outlaws Legion program until she was 14. She even played with her two brothers, Gus and Hank, who starred in the Evanston Legion program and are now playing collegiate baseball.

In the 2024 season, Allred had a .573 batting average in 27 games. She finished with 43 total hits, and 20 were extra-base hits. Allred smacked 13 doubles, four triples, and three home runs. She produced 28 RBIs and scored 27 runs. Allred walked nine times and struck out only five times last season. She added seven stolen bases. Kodi had a .978 fielding percentage with only three errors on 134 total chances.

Allred carries a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She also plays basketball for the Buffalos. She played in all 28 games for MVHS during the 2023-24 season.
