
Camryn Mickelsen of Wheatland Will Further Her Softball Career
Wheatland senior Camryn Mickelsen has signed to play college softball at Otero Junior College in Colorado. Mickelsen is a four-year starter for the Bulldogs on the diamond. She was an all-state selection by the coaches for the 2024 season. Camryn’s been an all-conference honoree her previous three seasons.
Mickelsen has helped Wheatland to a 6-3 start in the 2025 season and the No. 4 ranking in the most recent WyoPreps Coaches and Media Poll. Through the first seven games of this season, she has a .500 batting average, nine hits, including two home runs, and 12 RBIs.
In the 2024 season, Camry had a .508 batting average. She led the Bulldogs with 32 hits, five home runs, 39 runs scored, 20 walks, and 14 stolen bases. Mickelsen added 16 RBIs in 24 games played.
Camryn also played volleyball and basketball at WHS. She passed 1,000 assists last fall in volleyball and helped the Bulldogs to a runner-up finish at the 3A volleyball state tournament. She played in all 31 games for Wheatland during the 2025 basketball season, as they got to the 3A state tournament but fell in the state consolation game.

Otero Junior College is in La Junta, CO. The Rattlers compete in Region IX of the NJCAA.
