Campbell County senior Patience Smith is continuing her softball career after committing to Bismarck State College in North Dakota. Smith is a three-year letter-winner and two-year starter for the Camels. She will play her senior season this spring. Smith helped Campbell County win the East Conference in the 2024 season with an 11-1 record. The Camels finished the season with an overall record of 21-10 and a third-place trophy from the state tournament.

Smith had a batting average of .451 last spring. She had 37 total hits, which included 13 extra-base hits and 29 RBIs. Smith’s on-base percentage was .448 for the Camels. She struck out only twice all season in 82 at-bats.

As a sophomore in 2023, Smith appeared in 23 games and had a .359 batting average. She produced 23 hits and 13 RBIs. Patience played in eight games during her freshman season of 2022 and hit .400 with 8 RBIs.

Bismarck State College is in Bismarck, ND. The Mystics compete at the NJCAA level of collegiate athletics. They are members of the Mon-Dak Conference.
