Two-time state wrestling champion Trent Clark of Star Valley will continue his grappling career after recently signing with the Western Wyoming Mustangs.

Clark won the Class 3A 182-pound title as a junior in 2019 and followed it up with his second championship at 195-pounds as a senior. He was 76-6 in his final two seasons for the Braves. Clark helped Star Valley to a fifth straight team championship in 2020.

In his high school wrestling career, Clark finished with an overall record of 105-18. He also had a fourth-place finish at 170-pounds as a sophomore.

Clark was also a two-time All-State and All-Conference honoree in football at Star Valley High School. He helped the Braves win back-to-back state titles in 2018 and 2019. Clark was named the 3A Lineman of the Year by the National Football Foundation.

Off the mat and field, Clark is a member of the National Honor Society, maintains a 3.8 GPA, and is a member of the school’s chamber orchestra.

Western Wyoming Community College finished sixth place at the NJCAA National Championships in 2020. They had seven All-Americans and one national champion. The Mustangs went 10-1 in duals last season. WWCC also received first-place for the All-Academic Award.
