Two gentlemen in the 170-pound class made the next step forward after finishing 2nd a year ago. Sheridan's Hayden Crow bumped up from 138 to win the 170 title by fall over Ridgen Wagstaff of Evanston at 5:20. Crow didn't wrestle much this year winning just 13 matches and losing 2 but saved the best for last. Wagstaff wrapped up the season 33-12

In 3A, Jack Sweeney of Lander took the silver at 152 in 2019. This year, the gold at 170 with a pin over Bo Dearcorn of Powell at 3:22. Sweeney is a terrific all-around athlete and went 44-3 on the mat this season. Dearcorn concluded his prep career with a solid 32-6 record and was 2nd a year ago at 182.

Finally, in 2A, Emory Bemis of Lusk won 42 matches this year and lost just 5, including a pin of Joseph Kennah of Hulett at the 1:08 mark. So that's the way to cap your senior season. Kennah will get another crack next year as he was a junior in 2020 and posted a record of 31-9,
