Three Moorcroft Wrestlers Headed to Chadron State
A trio of Moorcroft wrestler will be attending Chadron State in Nebraska to continue their grappling careers. Rowdy Pfeil won two state championships in 2A. The first one was in 2018 at 160 pounds and he finished that year 41-11. The 2nd state title was in 2020 ar 182 pounds to finish 46-3. Pfeil finished 2nd at 182 in 2019 and 2nd in 2017 at 152 pounds. He finished 2nd this past season at the prestigious Ron Thon tournament at 182. Pfeil also plans to play football at the college level.
Parker Seeley was a 2A state champion at 145 pounds in 2020 and won 51 of 54 matches this past season. Seeley also had three, 2nd place finishes in his career; at 138 pounds in his junior and sophomore years and at 132 in his freshman. Twice, he lost in the state championship match to 4-time state titlist Donny Proffitt from Kemmerer. Seeley placed 3rd at the Ron Thon tournament at 145.
Parker Schlater has three 2nd place finishes to his credit. In 2020, he took the silver medal with an overall record of 45-7 and also took silver in 2019 at 45-10 and another 2nd place finish in 2018 going 39-12. Two of those state championship losses were to Hayden Walker of Kemmerer who was a three-time state champion.
