After committing earlier this year, Thunder Basin senior Emma Kimberling recently made it official and signed to play softball at the University of Mary.

Kimberling has been an all-state and all-conference centerfielder for the Bolts the last two seasons. Last May, she helped Thunder Basin win the high school softball state championship. The Bolts defeated Cheyenne Central in the title game, 12-2, and finished their season with an overall record of 24-4.

As a junior, Kimberling hit .422 with 32 RBIs. She finished last high school season with 43 hits and 51 runs scored.

Last summer in the club season, Kimberling played for Wicked 307 and helped them to the 18U state title in July 2022. She hit .360 during the summer club season with 27 base hits. Kimberling had 16 RBIs and 29 runs scored over 25 games played.

She has one more season to play in the spring of 2023 at Thunder Basin High School.

The University of Mary is in Bismarck, ND, and competes at the NCAA Division II level. The Marauders are a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
