Tongue River's girl's basketball team enjoyed a solid season from start to finish en route to the 2A Girls State Championship. The Eagles went 24-3 this season and beat Lingle-Fort Laramie in the final in Casper 46-43. Tongue River had three players named All-State, Paxten Aksamit, Chaney Reish as well as Afton Cummings. Aksamit led the Eagles in scoring in the first two games of the State Tournament with Reish and Jazlyn Ryan combining for 24 points in the title game vs. LFL.

Tongue River entered the State Tournament as the #1 shooting team in 2A and the #2 defensive team. They needed every bit of those categories to win the championship trophy with several players coming through with key contributions.

We caught up with Jazlyn Ryan and Chaney Reish after the championship game and yes, they were having a very good day.
