The Torrington Tigers won 2 and lost 2 in the Douglas tournament over the weekend but did manage to play in the tournament's championship game. The Tigers started out the tourney with a 9-1 win over Wheatland on Friday thanks to 3 RBIs from Ben Firminhac and 3 hits and 2 runs batted in from Matthew Hellus. Pitcher Aiden Saucido gave up 1 run and 6 hits.

On Saturday, Torrington absorbed ab 8-2 loss to Powell but came back to beat Green River 12-1. Deagan Keith, Bryce Hager, and Ryder Hackbarth drove in 2 runs apiece. In the tournament championship game, the Tigers did lose a tough one to Riverton 10-8 as Hager had a couple of hits and 2 runs scored.

Torrington is 17-11 on the year and those district tournaments are right around the corner. We talked with Deagan Keith and Ben Friminhac after their win over Wheatland on Friday and we have more than a few photos of that game in our gallery below.
