WyoPreps Indoor Track State Championship Preview 2025
It’s the last week in the 2025 Wyoming High School Indoor Track season, as the state championships will be on Friday and Saturday in Gillette. The Campbell County Recreation Center Fieldhouse is the site for the 15th consecutive year. Thirty-one teams are competing in two classifications at this year’s state championships. The top eight in each event of each classification will receive medals. The top four boys’ and girls’ teams in each class will receive trophies.
2025 WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL INDOOR TRACK STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Three state records occurred at last year’s championships. For the girls, they were in Class 4A. Cheyenne East graduate Taliah Morris set a new state record in the 200-meter dash at 25.11 seconds and in the long jump at 19-6.50. One state record was set in the boys’ division. The Cody Broncs established a new time in the 1600 Medley Relay at 3:37.11.
There were two Class 4A records, the same two set by Morris. Class 3A had 21 class records set last year. Twelve came in the girls’ division and nine on the boys’ side.
In 2025, nine finalists will advance in the Triple Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put. Eight finalists advance in the 55-meter dash, 55-meter hurdles, and 200 meters. Two heats of four will be run with the fastest times in the final heat.
