A pair of Thunder Basin teammates passed milestones earlier in the 2025 high school volleyball season in the same match. Seniors Piper Martin and Reece McGrath accomplished their feat in a conference match versus Laramie on September 13. Martin surpassed 3,000 assists in her prep career, and McGrath exceeded 1,000 career digs for the Bolts. The duo has helped Thunder Basin to a 14-4 start this season and the No. 5 ranking in the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Volleyball Poll.

Martin is a four-year starter and letter winner at TBHS. She’s a three-time all-state and all-conference performer for the Bolts. So far in 2025, Martin has 385 assists directing the TBHS offense. She has added 87 kills, 38 service aces, and 116 digs.

McGrath is a three-year starter and letter winner for Thunder Basin. She was an all-state and all-conference selection last year. This season, Reece has 194 digs, which is an average of 4.1 per set. She’s added two kills and 13 aces.
