
Powell’s Catelynn Floy Chooses Dickinson State for Volleyball
Powell senior Catelynn Floy will further her volleyball career at the collegiate level after signing at Dickinson State in North Dakota. Floy was a two-year starter and three-year varsity player at PHS. In the 2024 season, she led the Panthers with 307 kills and had a .152 hitting percentage. Catelynn added 31 service aces, 47 total blocks, and 202 digs. Floy helped Powell to a 29-8-1 record. The Panthers finished second in the 3A West Conference, second at the 3A West Regional Tournament, and third at the 3A State Tournament.
Floy was fourth on the team in kills at 174 as a junior in the 2023 season. She added 41 service aces and 231 digs. Catelynn helped Powell win the 3A Northwest Conference regular season title and the 3A West Regional championship. The Panthers finished second at the 3A state tournament and had a 27-7 overall record.
She played sparingly, in just 19 sets, and had 12 kills during her sophomore season back in 2022.
Floy also played basketball and track at PHS. She plans on pursuing a degree in nursing.

Dickinson State is in Dickinson, ND. The Blue Hawks compete at the NAIA level of collegiate sports and are members of the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) conference.
