Wheatland's Legion baseball team is well over the 500 mark and picked up three wins in the Bolln Tournament in Douglas over the weekend. On Friday, The Lobos defeated the Casper Drillers 7-3 as pitcher Langdon Goodrich turned in a solid effort on the mound, going 4 and 2 thirds, giving up 3 runs, and striking out 5, At the plate in this game, JP Anderson drove in 2 runs as the Lobos had a 4 run 3rd inning.

On Saturday, Wheatland shut out Riverton 12-0 as Cross Hernandez went 3-4 at the plate while JP Anderson pitched 5 innings and struck out 4. The Lobos tallied 4 times in the 4th and 8 times in the 5th.

Then on Sunday, Wheatland took care of Torrington as Ned Hageman struck out 7, and the team as a whole swiped 6 bases. Three different Lobo players had two hits apiece. In the tournament championship game, Wheatland ended up losing to the Casper Drillers 10-4 as Anderson went 2-3.

This is a team that has some of the right guys in the right places, but the upcoming district and state tournaments will not be easy.  We talked with Goodrich and Hageman after that win over Casper on Friday so take a look at our short video.
