Wheatland Begins Season with a Shut-Out Over Rawlins

The Wheatland Bulldogs are the #1 ranked team in 2A in our latest WyoPreps.com poll and the Bulldogs traveled to Rawlins for a zero-week game and came away with a 36-0 win. The Wheatland defense held Rawlins to just 42 yards of offense and that included a safety and a blocked kick that was returned for a touchdown. Maxx Meyer had 24 defensive points and Jake Hicks had 18.

The Bulldog offense was productive as well with Hyannie Fausto rushing for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Quarterback Kade Preuit threw for 93 yards and a touchdown and ran for 51. Jake Hicks had 68 yards receiving and a touchdown in this contest.

Wheatland has big-time potential in 2021 with an excellent collection of athletes. Rawlins does have some work to do but the season is still young. We have some images to show and some additional images in a gallery for you to view. Enjoy!
