The Worland boys' basketball team did not have a shortage of talent and a solid group of seniors led the Warriors to the promised land with a 37-35 win over Lyman to win the 3A state championship on Saturday in Casper. Free throws and defensive stops in the last minute of the game were the big keys to this victory so this title required some extra effort.

Seniors Carter Clark, Landen Gilmore, and Brock Douzenis combined for 28 points and the team as a whole rang the 3-bell 7 times out of 16 attempts. This was the Warriors' 2nd state championship in the last 3 years and has qualified for the state tourney for 9 consecutive seasons.

We talked with Carter, Gilmore, and Douzenis after the contest with that championship feeling still sinking in.
