Haven Vrana from Upton High School has chosen to further his wrestling career. He endorsed his athletic award from Marian University. Vrana was a four-time state qualifier and two-time all-state award winner at UHS. Over his first two years, Vrana wrestled for the Newcastle-Upton coop team, and then for the Bobcats the last two seasons. Haven finished his prep career with two runner-up finishes and a 130-44 overall record.

Vrana was the Class 2A runner-up at 120 pounds in the 2025 season. He went 35-8 during his senior campaign. That included a 3-1 mark at the state championships after he took fourth at regionals. Haven won two tournament titles in the 2025 season. Those were the Tiger Invitational in Lusk and the River City Rumble in Chamberlain, SD. Vrana took second at the Harding County Invitational and Belle Fourche Invitational in South Dakota. He placed sixth at the Shane Shatto Memorial Wrestling tournament in Douglas.

His other runner-up finish was in the 2023 season in Class 3A at 106 pounds. That came after a regional championship. Vrana was 39-7 that year.

In 2024, Haven was 26-7, third at regionals, and placed fifth in Class 2A at 113 pounds. Vrana went 30-22 in the 2022 season, took third at regionals, and went 2-2 in the 3A state tournament.
