Wyatt Herther of Campbell County Inks with SD School of Mines
Offensive linemen are usually the unsung heroes of football and Campbell County had one of the best in the state in Wyatt Herther. He played a major role in pass protection for quarterback Mason Drube as the Camels had the #2 passing attack in 4A this past season and the #3 offense. Herther will take those skills to Rapid City to join the South Dakota School of Mines football program.
He's been named All-Conference in 4A on the O-Line for the past two seasons and also spent some time on the defensive line as well. Heather was also a team captain on a squad that made the 4A playoffs as the #4 seed. He plans on majoring in engineering at the S.D. School of Mines and also plays soccer for the Camel. Not bad for a gut that is 6-2 and 240 pounds.
The Hardrockers play in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference at the Division II level.
