Sheridan Boys Basketball Postgame Remarks (Video)
The Sheridan boys basketball program has not had a losing season since 2016 but is looking to return to the 4A State Tournament after a 2-year absence. The Broncs are 8-0 so far this season and went 3-0 in the Cheyenne Tournament over the weekend. They concluded the tourney with a hard-fought 69-59 win over Rock Springs on Saturday.
The Broncs had to replace their top 3 scorers from the 2023-24 season so somebody has to step up. Junior Nate Miner is the leading scorer in 4A so far, averaging 22 points a game. He's been shooting an astounding 67% from the field and led his team in scoring in the Rock Springs game with 23 points. A year ago as a sophomore, he averaged just shy of 8 points per contest.
Junior Beck Haswell is the team's leading rebounder and averages 10 points per game. Brayden Brutlag also is averaging 10 points a game so there's a balanced effort on that end of the floor.
We had a chance to talk with Miner and Haswell about their performance against Rock Springs and the season to date.
