The State Softball Tournament in Gillette featured 3 teams from the East that amassed over 20 wins during the regular season. Thunder Basin Campbell County, and Cheyenne East surpassed the 20 win mark and Thunder Basin won the State Championship for the 3rd year in a row. The Bolts were 24-5 in the 2024 season.

On the final day of the State Tournament, Cheyenne East defeated Campbell County 7-6 to qualify for the state championship game. It was a back-and-forth game, worthy of a State Tournament game. Thunder Basin was waiting for their chance in the title game and beat East 10-0 in 6 innings for the championship trophy. Paige Shaffer had a great outing pitching-wise with Allie Rodgers and Natalie Conch driving in 2 runs apiece.
