It's no surprise that Tongue River repeated as the 2A Girls Basketball State Champions in 2025 considering the talent they put on the floor. The Eagles had three returning All-State players in Chaney Reish, Afton Cummings and Paxton Aksamit. McKinlee Scammon was All-Conference last season so that's about as good a foundation as you will see on any high school basketball team.

Tongue River defeated Wyoming Indian on Saturday in Casper, 61-47 in the 2A Championship game and were ranked #1 in 2A in defense and rebounding. They were ranked #2 in the classification in offense and shooting, which meant that opponents needed to bring their "A" game. The Eagles displayed their "A" game on Saturday in the 4th quarter when they outscored the Chiefs 22-10. Reish finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds while Cummins had 17 points and 15 rebounds.

We talked with Cummins and Reish about their fabulous team that went 25-1 this season.
