Aidan Mattheus of Lusk displayed tremendous skill on the basketball floor in his prep career and will be taking his skills to York University in Nebraska. This past season, Mattheus averaged 14 points a game for Lusk which led the team along with 7 rebounds per contest. He was an All-State selection as the Tigers went 20-8 and qualified for the 2A State Tournament Championship game.

Mattheus played for Lingle-Fort Laramie in his junior and sophomore seasons, earning All-Conference designation in both of those years. In the 2022-2023 campaign, he averaged 10 points and 6 rebounds per game for the Doggers while shooting 46% from the floor in the two point range. As a sophomore for LFL, Mattheus threw in 9 points and 8 rebounds per game and shot 49% from the field with 2 point attempts.

York University in Nebraska plays in the NAIA ranks in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference.
