A new meet takes place on the Wyoming High School indoor track schedule this weekend.

Schools were originally scheduled to send representative athletes to the Simplot Games in Pocatello, ID. That event was recently canceled for the second consecutive year due to a spike in Covid cases within Idaho.

That left the Cowboy State talent devoid of competition.

Enter a new event on the schedule. It’s an elite meet in Casper on Friday hosted by Cheyenne Central. Only two athletes per school are eligible to compete in an event unless they meet a certain, minimum qualifying standard.
