The indoor track season has reached its halfway point. A month has gone by with a month to go.

Gillette hosts the big in-state event on Friday, while some teams are opting to compete in Utah.

This is the schedule for the fourth weekend of indoor track. Schedules are subject to change.

Friday, Feb. 3:

Basin Nation Invite at the Campbell County Recreation Center Fieldhouse: Field & Track Events start at 10 a.m.

Teams Attending: Big Horn, Buffalo, Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Cody, Douglas, Glenrock, Green River, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Natrona County, Powell, Riverton, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Tongue River, Torrington.

Central's standout Sydney Morrell was the only double-event winner on the girls' side. She won the 400 & 1600 meters.

Central's Richard Prescott won the long & triple jump. He was the lone boy to win a pair of events.

UHSTCA Indoor Invitational at Olympic Ice Oval in Kearns, UT: Field Events (long jump, pole vault, triple jump) start at 4 p.m.; Track Events start at 4 p.m.

Teams Attending: Evanston, Lander, Mountain View, Pinedale, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley.

Star Valley's Valerie Jirak was 5th in the 400 meters & 6th in the long jump.

Pinedale's Colby Jenks was 6th in the 1600 meters.

Saturday, Feb. 4:

UHSTCA Indoor Invitational at Olympic Ice Oval in Kearns, UT: Track Events start at 9 a.m.

Teams Attending: Evanston, Lander, Mountain View, Pinedale, Riverton, Rock Springs, Star Valley.

Evanston's Kiara Worthing won the triple jump at 33-3.75. Pinedale's Anna Lehr was 2nd and Evanston's Lyra Hutchison took 3rd in the triple jump. Evanston took 3rd in the 4x400 relay.

Colby Jenks of Pinedale won the 800 meters at 1:53.41. Evanston won the 4x200 relay at 1:33.87. Maddix Holmes of Rock Springs placed 3rd in the pole vault. Lander's Gage Gose took 2nd in the 60-meter hurdles.
