
Buffalo’s Kamry Davis Commits to Black Hills St. for Rodeo
Kamry Davis of Buffalo has been enjoying a solid rodeo season in her senior year and will compete at the next level at Black Hills State in South Dakota for the 2025-26 season. Davis is currently ranked 5th in barrel racing on the Wyoming high school circuit and 8th in breakaway roping.
She placed first in the barrel racing in the 2nd performance in Gillette last week with a time of 14.873. Davis took 4th in the breakaway in perf #2 of the breakaway roping in Newcastle and was very competitive in Big Piney. She took 2nd in the barrels and 4th in the breakaway in the 1st performance and 4th in the barrels in the 2nd performance in Sublette County. She started the spring season with a 1st place finish in the barrel racing in perf #2 in Rock Springs and 3rd in the breakaway roping. Last season, Davis qualified for the National High School Finals in the barrel racing event.
She was an All-Conference basketball player for Buffalo in her junior and senior seasons. In 2024-25, she averaged 11.7 points per game, shooting 43% from the 2-point area and 77% from the free throw line. In her junior year. Davis averaged 9.6 points a game, shooting 45% from the floor.
Black Hills State is a Division II school located in Spearfish, South Dakota.
