
Carson Milam of Laramie Signs with Metro St.-Denver for Softball
Carson Milam certainly has been busy with athletics at Laramie High School, competing in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Softball is her passion, and she will continue her career at Metro State in Denver. Milam occupies the 1st base and catcher spot for the Plainsmen, and in 2024 at the plate, she hit .311 with 20 hits, 4 home runs, 16 RBIs, a. .410 on-base percentage, and a .507 slugging percentage. She also had a .938 fielding percentage and was named All-Conference. In 2023, she hit .250 with 10 RBIs, a .400 slugging percentage, and a .362 on-base percentage. Milam started playing softball at an early age and has extensive club experience
Milam was also an All-Conference basketball player for Laramie as she led the team in scoring, averaging 10 points a game, and also was the squad's leading rebounder at 5.9 per contest. In addition to all of that, she was a valuable asset to the Plainsmen volleyball team in 2024, with 197 kills, 95 digs, and 33 blocks.
Metro State is a Division II school that competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Roadrunners were 43-18 last season, and this season, they sport a mark of 27-9
