With perfect weather conditions, Kelly Walsh and Natrona battled it out on Thursday in the annual Diamond Ball Classic at the Field of Dreams Complex. The Classic match-up was the first game of a doubleheader, and it was all Natrona as they won going away 24-8.

Lexa Randolph had a game to remember for NC as she hit 3 home runs with 6 RBI's, and you don't see that kind of effort at the plate very often. Randolph started her great day with a solo home run in the 2nd inning and followed that up with a 3-run homer in the 4th, plus a 2-run shot in the 6th.

Natrona exploded with 9 runs in the 4th inning and 10 more in the 6th. Ashlyn Hodge had 2 hits and drove in 5, while Olivia Devoe came through with 3 hits and 4 RBI's. Kelly Walsh was led offensively in the Classic game by Vivian Smith with 2 home runs, and Ryleigh Sisco went yard in the 3rd.

The Trojans rebounded to take the nightcap of this doubleheader 16-9, thanks to 11 runs in the first inning. Smith homered and had 3 RBIs, with Sisco driving in 2 runs with 2 hits. Natrona is 4-1 in the Northwest Pod, and Kelly Walsh is 4-2. The regional tournaments will be next week, with the State Tournament the following week in Cheyenne.
