The North Regional Softball Tournament wrapped up on Saturday in Casper with the top 4 teams securing a spot in this week's State Tournament in Cheyenne. The action on Saturday at the Field of Dreams Complex was extremely compelling at times and started out with a pair of elimination games.

Natrona eliminated 3-time defending State Champion Thunder Basin 8-6 in a gritty performance by the Fillies. Lexa Randolph and Marley Dickinson homered for NC, which entered the regional tournament at 12-12 while Thunder Basin was 19-7. In the other loser-out game, Cody rallied from 7 runs down to beat Kelly Walsh 20-14 in a wild game.

Cody ended up playing in back-to-back wild games as they outlasted Natrona 19-18 in the 3rd place contest. Cody plated 7 runs in 2 different innings, and 3 Filly players drove in 4 runs apiece. Natrona earned the 4 seed at the State Tournament with Campbell County taking the #1 seed, thanks to a 16-4 win over Sheridan. Baylee Gray hit 2 home runs and drove in as the Camels entered the regional tournament 24-4. Sheridan is playing its very first season of softball, and they have been formidable. The Broncs were 17-8-2 entering regionals and now will be a #2 seed at the State Tournament.

We have a batch of photos from those 4 games on Saturday in Casper in our gallery below. Enjoy and look for some-one you know.
