Wyoming High School Softball Scoreboard: May 8-16, 2023
This is the final week of the 2023 Wyoming High School softball season.
A few of these games will help determine the teams that advance to the state tournament next week in Gillette.
The four teams from West Conference and their seeds are set. The East Conference will be decided in the final week.
Due to make-up games, the regular season won’t conclude until Tuesday, May 16.

MONDAY, MAY 8
Final Score: #3 Campbell County 6 #4 Cody 5 (8 inns.) - Camels scored 2 in the 8th to get the extra-inning victory. The tying run scored on a wild pitch. Curtin had the game-winning squeeze bunt for the Camels.
Final Score: #3 Campbell County 11 #4 Cody 1 - the Camels scored 3 or more runs in three of the five innings. Kimbley had 3 hits & 3 RBIs. A. Gray added 2 doubles and 3 RBIs.
TUESDAY, MAY 9
Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 16 Laramie 5 (conference game) - a 9-run 4th allowed the T-Birds to pull away and clinch the East Conference No. 1 seed at the state tournament next week.
Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 7 Laramie 3 - a 3-run 5th helped the T-Birds get the sweep. Brooks and Schlagel both had 2-run HRs.
Final Score: #5 Kelly Walsh 13 Natrona County 1 (conference game)
Final Score: #5 Kelly Walsh 17 Natrona County 2
Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 6 #4 Cody 5 - Kaul hits the game-winning RBI single for the Bolts in the bottom of the 7th.
THURSDAY, MAY 11
Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 17 Wheatland 0 - T-Birds exploded for 11 runs in the 6th. Brooks had 4 hits (2 HRs) & 4 RBIs. (conference game)
Final Score: #1 Cheyenne East 17 Wheatland 0 - Vallejo tossed a 1-hit shutout with 8 Ks and only 3 walks. Stephenson had 3 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs for East.
Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 17 #3 Campbell County 1 (conference game) - Bolt scored 7 in the 3rd inning & 10 runs in the 4th. Kaul and Rodgers both had 2 hits, including 1 HR each, and 4 RBIs for TBHS.
Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 12 #3 Campbell County 11 - Bolts complete the sweep with a walk-off sac-fly in the 5th. Selfors had 3 hits (3B, HR) & 2 RBIs.
FRIDAY, MAY 12
#2 Thunder Basin at Cheyenne South - postponed to Saturday
#3 Campbell County at Laramie - postponed to Saturday
SATURDAY, MAY 13
Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 15 Cheyenne South 3 (conference game) - Win cliches the No. 2 seed from the East Conference at state next week for the Bolts.
Final Score: #3 Campbell County 9 Laramie 5 (conference game)
Final Score: Laramie 8 #2 Thunder Basin 7 (conference game) - Pacheco hits the game-winning RBI walk-off sac-fly for the Plainsmen.
Final Score: #3 Campbell County 32 Cheyenne South 2 (conference game)
Final Score: #3 Campbell County 10 Laramie 8
Final Score: #4 Cody 20 Worland 0 (conference game) - Ungrund tossed a no-hitter for the Fillies.
MONDAY, MAY 15
Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 20 Wheatland 1 (conference game) - Bolts scored at least 3 runs in all 4 innings, including 9 in the 3rd. Rouse had 4 hits & 3 RBIs, and Kimberling added 3 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs.
Final Score: #2 Thunder Basin 23 Wheatland 7 - Bolts led 9-3 and exploded for 14 runs in the 2nd inning. Terry had 2 hits & 4 RBIs and Selfors added 3 hits & 2 RBIs.
TUESDAY, MAY 16
Final Score: Laramie 9 Wheatland 5 (conference game)- Sirdoreus hits a grand slam in the 4th inning for the Plainsmen. She finished with 3 hits & 6 RBIs. Brooklyn McKinney also homered for Laramie.
Final Score: Laramie 11 Wheatland 1 - a 7-run 4th clinched it for Laramie. Witte had a 2-run HR and Macy McKinney had a 3-run HR for the Plainsmen.
