Addison Barnes of Cokeville Wins 4 Events at 1A State Track Meet

One of the finest all-around athletes in Wyoming High School Sports is Cokeville junior Addison Barnes. She is a three-time 1A All-State selection in basketball, an All-Conference pick in volleyball from 2024, and won 4 events at the 1A State Track Meet in Casper over the weekend.

The 100 hurdles has been her specialty, and Barnes has won a state title in that event for the last 3 years running. Her winning time this year was 16.14, and she won the 1A 300 hurdles for the 2nd year in a row. clocking in at 45.22. Barnes made it back-to-back state championships in the 200 meters at 26.80 and set the 1A record in her gold medal-winning performance in the 400 at 58.30. That was an event that she did not compete in at the 2024 State Track Meet.

Barnes shared some thoughts on her efforts over the weekend, and she has set the bar pretty high.
