
Wyoming High School Track Scoreboard: April 17-22, 2023
The sixth week of the high school track and field season in Wyoming is here.
The post-season is just three weeks away (regional track meets).
This is a very busy week with meets scattered all over the state.

Here is the schedule, which is subject to change.
MONDAY, APRIL 17:
Burns Invite in Burns – Burns, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Chugwater, Douglas, Encampment, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, Lusk, Pine Bluffs, Rock River, Southeast, Torrington; Out-of-state: Gering, NE.
Team scores have not been posted yet.
Brooklyn Asmus of Torrington swept the 100 & 200 meters. Marissa Moorehouse of Torrington won the 400 meters & triple jump.
On the boys' side, Torrington's Aydan Loya won the 800 & 1600 meters. Louden Bremer of Lingle-Ft. Laramie won both hurdle races. East won 3 of the 4 relays; Dalton Schaefer of Pine Bluffs took the pole vault & long jump.
Riverton Twilight in Riverton – Cody, Ft. Washakie, Lander, Riverton, Shoshoni, St. Stephens, Thermopolis, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy, Wind River, Wyoming Indian.
Girls Top 3 Teams = Cody 227.50 pts, Lander 195.50, Riverton 124.
Boys Top 3 Teams = Cody 193, Riverton 177.50, Lander 143.50.
Cody's Allison Gee won the high jump & long jump. Teammate Laura Phillips swept the 2 throwing events.
Lander's Gage Gose won both boys' hurdle races.
TUESDAY, APRIL 18:
Laramie County Throw-off in Cheyenne at South HS – Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Encampment, Southeast.
Southeast's Shelby Ekwall won both the shot put & discus. Central's Auggie Lain won the shot put for the boys, while teammate Hadyn Fleming took the discus.
Panther Qualifier in Wright – Hulett, Moorcroft, Sundance, Upton, Wright.
Team results were not listed.
Sophie Louderback of Upton won the 100 & 200 meters + the triple jump. Upton's Zoey Wilson won the 300 hurdles & high jump. Upton's Bella Keller swept the throws.
Wright's Jacob Vasquez won the 100 & 200 meters. Hulett's Hunter Reilly won the 400 meters and shot put.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19:
Dave Draney Memorial in Afton – Cokeville, Evanston, Jackson, Kemmerer, Lyman, Mountain View, Star Valley; Out-of-State: Teton (Driggs, ID).
Girls Team Scores: Star Valley 228 pts, Teton 125.50, Kemmerer 93, Jackson 82, Cokeville 69, Evanston 49.50.
Boys Team Scores: Star Valley 200.50 pts, Teton 163, Evanston 109.50, Kemmerer 67,
Cokeville 65, Jackson 60.
Star Valley's Valerie Jirak won the 100 & 200 meters + the high jump. Jackson's Alena D'Arge won the 1600 meters & 3200 meters.

Both Lingle-Ft. Laramie teams took 2nd place.
SATURDAY, APRIL 22:
Dan Hansen Invitational in Sheridan – Big Horn, Buffalo, Cody, Kaycee, Kelly Walsh, Sheridan, Thunder Basin, Tongue River; Out-of-State: Spearfish (SD).
Thunder Basin won 3 of the 4 boys' relays; Cody's Ada Nelson won the 800 & 1600 meters; Jordan Kroeger of Kelly Walsh won both girls' hurdle races; Alessandra Broussard of Cody won the 100 meters & long jump; Sheridan's Josie Ankney swept the throws.
Lovell HS Invitational – Burlington, Greybull, Lovell, Meeteetse, Powell, Riverside, Rocky Mountain, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy, Worland.
Cherise Douzenis of Worland won the 200 & 400 meters; Powell swept the 3 girls' relays.
Clayton Edwards of Burlington captured the 100 & 200 meters; Daniel Merritt of Powell won the 800 & 1600 meters; Powell's Hyrum Jeide swept the boys' hurdle races; Lovell's Kalel Gruell swept the throwing events.
Out-of-State events:
2023 Morgan Trojan Invitational in Morgan, UT – Green River, Lyman, Mountain View.
Girls Team placing = Mountain View 4th, Green River 5th, Lyman 11th.
Boys Team placing = Mountain View 3rd, Green River 4th.
Mountain View's Jaylee Antonino won the 100 & 300 hurdles + the high jump; Green River's Christopher Wilson won the 110 & 300 hurdles + the long jump; Green River boys won the 4x200 relay; Mountain View's Carson Eardley won the 400 meters; Tayden Bell of MVHS won the 800 meters; Kyler Bartlett of Green River won the shot put.
Denver East Angel Invite in Denver – canceled.
Rangely Panther Invitational – Little Snake River.
The Rattlers took 4th in the boys' division and 10th in the girls. Kannadis Peroulis won the shot put & took 2nd in the 100 meters; Bridger Cozzens added a 2nd in the discus.
Sky View Invitational in Smithfield, UT – Cokeville.
Panthers finished 4th in the girls' division and 10th in the boys'. Bryli Groll won the 800 & 1600 meters; Cokeville won the girls' sprint medley relay.
Western Nebraska Twilight Invite in Scottsbluff, NE – Torrington.
Torrington wins: Marissa Moorehouse 400 meters & triple jump, Callie Taylor 3200 meters, Natalie Hawes 100 hurdles, girls' 4x800 relay, Allison Wondercheck long jump; Brendan Flock 400 meters, Aydan Loya 800 meters, Tyler Bennick shot put; Ryan Baker discus, Benjamin Fuller long jump.
