The fourth week of the 2023 Wyoming High School track and field season has a few more in-state meets on the schedule.

Last week, we finally had the first two in-state meets of the year in Wheatland and Greybull. Will the weather cooperate this week?

Worland and Cheyenne will try to host this week. The Cheyenne track meet has already been pushed back one day.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 5:

West Jordan Meet at West Jordan, UT – Lyman.

THURSDAY, APRIL 6:

D&D Invitational in Worland – Arvada-Clearmont, Big Horn, Big Piney, Buffalo, Burlington, Campbell County, Cody, Glenrock, Green River, Greybull, Kaycee, Lander, Lovell, Meeteetse, Midwest, Pinedale, Powell, Riverside, Riverton, Sheridan, Shoshoni, Ten Sleep, Thermopolis, Thunder Basin, Tongue River, Western Heritage Lutheran Academy, Wind River, Worland, Wyoming Indian.

Team scores were not posted on the results.

Sheridan's Addie Pendergast swept the 100, 200, & 400 meters. Cody's Taylen Stinson won the 800 & 1600 meters. Powell won 2 of the 4 relays (4x400 & 4x800). Sheridan's Callista Roush swept the long jump & triple jump.

Sheridan won 2 of the 4 boys' relays (4x400 & Sprint Medley). Dillon Brost of Cody won the 100 meters & the pole vault. Powell's Cody Seifert won the long jump & triple jump.

Mitchell Invitational in Mitchell, NE – Lingle-Ft. Laramie - postponed to April 18

Queen City Classic in Spearfish, SD – CANCELED – 7 Wyoming teams were scheduled to attend.

FRIDAY, APRIL 7:

Okie Blanchard Invite at East HS in Cheyenne – Burns, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Chugwater, Douglas, Encampment, Glendo, Glenrock, Kelly Walsh, Laramie, Midwest, Natrona County, Pine Bluffs, Rawlins, Rock River, Rock Springs, Saratoga, Wheatland, Wright.

Girls Top 5 Team Scores = Natrona County 132, East 123, Central 98.50, Kelly Walsh 87.50, Rawlins 52.

Rawlins' Eva Nitschke won the 400 meters & 110 hurdles. Taliah Morris of East won the 100 meters & long jump.

Boys Top 5 Team Scores = Central 146, Natrona County 120, Laramie 74.50, East 61.50, Rock Springs 60.50

Each boys' individual event had a different winner.

Out-of-State events:

Sugar-Salem Invite in Sugar City, ID (this meet was moved to 4/7/23) – Star Valley.

Star Valley girls were 3rd & boys took 2nd.

Valerie Jirak won the 200 & 800 meters. Ava Morgan won the 100 hurdles & triple jump. Kammi Merritt won the 300 hurdles.

SATURDAY, APRIL 8:

Out-of-State events:

2023 Taylorsville Invitational in Taylorsville, UT – Evanston, Mountain View.

Girls Team Scores = Evanston 4th - 53 pts; Mountain View 13th - 26 pts.

Boys Team Scores = Evanston 3rd - 62 pts; Mountain View 7th - 48 pts.

Evanston won both sprint medley relays; the girls' 4x100 relay; Talia Conrad won the 400 meters; Kai Barker won the boys' high jump.

Mountain View won the boys' 4x400 relay; Dane Branson won the boys' shot put & discus.

Frank Woodburn Invitational in Grand Junction, CO – Little Snake River.

Little Snake River boys tied-13th with 10 pts.

Hadley Myers took 4th in the 300 hurdles & 6th in the 110 hurdles.
