Jackie Meador of Big Piney will continue his athletic journey as he will attend Northwest College in Powell and wrestle for the Trappers. He won a 2A State Championship back in 2023 in the 2A 113-pound weight class with a 10-6 win over Grady Longwell of Glenrock. Meador finished the season with a record of 29-9.

In his senior season. Meador took 3rd in the 2A 120-pound weight division with a season record of 29-13. He defeated Landon Norman of Upton by fall in that 3rd place match. Back in 2022, Meador was a State Tournament qualifier at 113 in 2A and went 2-2 and also went 2-2 in the 2021 State Tournament at 106 pounds in 2A.

He also played football for the Punchers who won the 1A 9-Man State Championship in 2023 and contributed 2 rushing touchdowns. Meador also qualified for the 2024 State Outdoor Track and Field meet, competing in the 2A 110 and 300 hurdle events.

Northwest College traditionally has been one of the better junior college wrestling programs in the region and sent 10 guys to the NJCAA Championships in Council Bluffs, Iowa back in March.
