KW's Kylan DePoorter Signs with Oakton College for Baseball

Casper baseball player Kylan DePoorter has climbed the ladder in the American Legion ranks and will continue his career at Oakton Community College in suburban Chicago. The Kelly Walsh High School student was a 2nd team All-State selection for the Casper Drillers back in 2022 and he's been productive so far this season with the Casper Oilers.

At the plate, DePoorter is hitting .400 with an on-base percentage of .538. His on-base and slugging percentage number is .938 so he has been productive offensively. On the mound, his earned run average so far this season is 2.80 with a WHIP of 1.600. Opposing hitters are batting just .125 and when he's not pitching, he mans one of the outfield positions.

Oakton is a junior college in Des Plaines, Illinois, and a member of the Illinois SkyWay Conference. The Owls are currently 20-32 on the season.
