The second week of the Wyoming Legion Baseball season features the debut of six more teams.

Gillette, Laramie, Powell, Rock Springs, Sheridan, and the Cheyenne Hawks play their first games of the 2023 season.

A few more teams are scheduled to open their season next weekend. Some teams are still a few weeks away from playing, as they will not start their 2023 season until May.

TUESDAY, APRIL 11:

Final Score: Gillette Riders 15 Spearfish, SD 7 - a 7-run 1st inning propelled the Riders to the win. Hecker had 2 hits including 1 HR and 3 RBIs for Gillette. The Riders took advantage of 13 walks and had 18 hits.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12:

Final Score: Gillette Riders 11 Sturgis, SD 1 - Riders scored 6 in the 3rd inning to break it open. Riley Schilling tossed three shutout innings with 5 Ks. Cory Schilling had 3 hits (2B) & 3 RBIs. Hatzenbuhler added 3 hits (2-2B) & 2 RBIS.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 14 Sturgis, SD 0 - Tystad & C. Schilling combined on a 2-hit shutout. An 8-run 3rd broke it open for the Riders.

SATURDAY, APRIL 15:

Final Score: Gillette Riders 17 Rapid City Post 320 Star 8 - a 10-run 3rd put the Riders in control. Drube had 3 hits & 4 RBIs.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 9 Rapid City Post 320 Stars 3 - a 4-run 6th extended a 3-2 lead. Drube had 3 hits, 1 RBI, and 3 runs scored.

Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 17 Rapid City Post 320 Shooters 0 - Rustlers scored at least 2 runs in all 4 innings highlighted by an 8-run 4th. Rambo had 3 hits & 4 RBIs.

SUNDAY, APRIL 16:

Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 11 Laramie 5 - a 9-run 3rd inning pushed the Hawks to the win.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 11 Laramie 1 - Sixers scored 3 runs in 3 straight innings and closed it out in the 6th.

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 9 Powell 1 - Troopers pulled away with 6 runs in the last two frames.

Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 13 Powell 7 - an 8-run 5th helped the Troopers rally from a 6-0 deficit.

Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 11 Cheyenne Hawks 0 - Williams & Moore combined on a 1-hit shutout. Pearson had 3 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Gillette Riders 6 Rapid City Post 320 Stars 5 - Partlow's 3-run HR in the 6th helped the Riders rally for the victory.
