Wyoming Legion Baseball Scoreboard: June 13-18, 2023
American Legion Baseball is in Week 11 of the 2023 season.
Most of the conference games are early in the week. Plenty of tournament action, but only two are in the state. Jackson and Powell have events over the Father’s Day weekend.
Other teams are in Colorado, Idaho, Nebraska, and South Dakota for tournament play.

TUESDAY, JUNE 13:
Final Score: Gillette Riders 11 Rapid City Post 320 Stars 0 - Foss tossed a 2-hit shutout. Drube and Tystad had 2 RBIs each. Gillette took advantage of 10 walks & 6 errors.
Cheyenne Hawks at Casper Oilers (conference games) - rained out
Final Score: Lovell 8 Sheridan Jets 6 - a 2-run 6th gave the Mustangs the lead for good after the Jets had tied it. Diaz-Rios had 3 hits & 1 RBI. Rodriguez drove in 2 runs.
Final Score: Sheridan Jets 7 Lovell 2 - The Jets scored all their runs over the first 3 innings. Araas drove 2 runs, while 4 other Sheridan players had 2 hits apiece.
Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 14 Casper Drillers 7 (conference game) - Gillette jumped out to an 11-2 lead. Kuhbacher had 3 hits & 3 RBIs.
Final Score: Casper Drillers 7 Gillette Rustlers 6 (conference game) - Drillers built a 7-2 lead and held off a comeback by Gillette. Pexton had 2 hits & 3 RBIs. Both teams drew 10 walks.
Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 6 Rapid City Expos 4 - Troopers rally from a 4-1 deficit. Sheridan scored 5 in the 5th for the win. Hutton had 3 hits & 1 RBI, while Greenough-Groom had 1 hit & 2 RBIs.
Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 10 Rapid City Post 22 Expos 0 - Hutton tossed a 2-hit shutout with 7 Ks. The Troopers scored 9 runs over the last 2 innings. Barney had 3 hits and 1 RBI. Murner added 2 runs & 2 RBIs.
Final Score: Torrington 9 Chadron, NE 0 - Greiman & Hubbard combined on a 3-hit shutout. Greiman added 2 hits & 2 RBIs at the plate. Firminhac had 3 hits & 3 runs scored.
Final Score: Torrington 11 Chadron, NE 9 - a 7-run 6th inning propelled the Tigers to the win. Kramer had 3 hits & 3 RBIs.
Final Score: Gillette Riders 6 Brandon Valley (SD) 5 - Riders scored 5 runs over the 4th and 5th innings for the win. Gillette took advantage of 3 errors. (in Rapid City, SD)
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 14:
Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 11 Rapid City Post 22 Expos 1 - Manning tossed a no-hitter and had 5 Ks. A pair of 4-run innings broke it open. Hamrick had 2 hits (2B, 3B) and 4 RBIs.
Final Score: Sheridan Troopers 4 Rapid City Post 22 Expos 2 - Troopers scored 3 in the 1st inning and held on. Ormseth had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.
Final Score: Lovell 10 Lander 2 (conference game) - the Mustangs scored in all but 2 innings. Rodriguez had 4 hits (2-2B) & 2 RBIs. Jackson added 2 hits & drove in 3. Those 2 combined for 14 Ks on the mound.
Final Score: Lovell 16 Lander 6 (conference game) - the Mustangs scored 8 runs in the 3rd and 4 more in the 4th for separation. Rodriguez finished with 3 hits & 5 RBIs for Lovell.
Final Score: Douglas 11 Buffalo 9 (conference game) - The Cats scored 7 runs over the last 2 innings to rally for the win. Kejr's 2-run single in the 7th put Douglas in front. Robertson had 1 hit & 4 RBIs, while Kejr had 1 hit & 3 RBIs.
Final Score: Douglas 9 Buffalo 2 (conference game) - a 6-run 6th put the game away for Douglas. M. Lehnen had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.
Final Score: Laramie 3 Jackson 0 (conference game) - Chavez tossed a 4-hit shutout with 8 Ks. The Rangers scored 2 in the 5th and 1 in the 7th and took advantage of 7 Jackson errors.
Final Score: Jackson 4 Laramie 3 (conference game) - the Giants pushed across 1 in the 5th to break the tie. Wright had the go-ahead bunt single on a squeeze play.
Final Score: Powell 10 Cody 4 (conference game) - a 6-run 4th propelled the Pioneers to the win. Both Queen and Stenerson had 2 hits & 4 RBIs apiece. Both hit home runs.
Final Score: Powell 9 Cody 4 (conference game) - with a 5-3 lead, a 4-run 6th provided the final touch for Powell. Cordes had 3 hits & 4 RBIs.
Final Score: Cheyenne Hawks 25 Wheatland 17 - Hawks outlast the Lobos in a slugfest. An 11-run 6th pushed Cheyenne to the win. Frogge had 4 hits & 4 RBIs, including 1 home run.

Final Score: Evanston 12 Jerome, ID 1 - Outlaws used a 6-run 2nd for the win. Wilson had 2 hits & 3 RBIs.
Final Score: Ridgeline, UT 11 Evanston 1 - Outlaws allowed 11 runs in the 4th inning.
THURSDAY, JUNE 15:
Final Score: Douglas 7 Sheridan Jets 1 (conference game) - a 5-run 2nd put the Cats in control. Spence allowed only 3 hits over 6.2IP with 7 Ks. Robertson had 2 hits (2B) & 2 RBIs.
Final Score: Douglas 8 Sheridan Jets 4 (conference game) - Cats get the sweep. Four runs over the last 2 innings helped Douglas pull away. Spence had 2 hits (2B, 3B) & drove in 3, while Holler had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.
Final Score: Cody 7 Laramie 3 - the Cubs scored 3 in the 1st and 4 in the 3rd. Carlson had 2 hits & drove in 1 run. Phillips and Thomasson had 2 RBIs each.
Final Score: Cody 17 Laramie 7 - the Cubs jumped out with 7 runs in the 1st. Jarrett had 2 hits and 4 RBIs.
Final Score: Mitchell, SD 6 Gillette Riders 1 - 4 runs in the 1st two innings helps Mitchell to the win.

Final Score: Hillcrest, ID 13 Rock Springs 3 - Knights had a 12-run inning.
Final Score: Thunder Ridge, ID 15 Rock Springs 0 - Titans closed it with a 10-run 4th inning.
Final Score: Jackson 7 Thunder Ridge, ID 6 - Fisher had the game-winning, walk-off, RBI single in the 7th for the Giants.
Final Score: Jackson 10 Premier West (Denver, CO) 5 - the Giants took the lead for good with 6 runs in the 3rd inning. Fisher had 3 hits & 2 RBIs.
Battle of Omaha Tournament in Omaha, NE (17U division)
Final Score: Seward, NE 3 Gillette Rustlers 2 - a 2-run 5th gave it to Seward. Nuzum had 2 hits & 1 RBI for the Rustlers.
Final Score: Gillette Rustlers 7 Ranger Baseball 2 - The Rustlers got out to a 6-1 lead and get the win. Kuhbacher had 3 hits & 3 RBIs for Gillette. Voigt added 3 hits & 2 RBIs.
Pocatello ‘A’ Wood Bat Classic in Pocatello, ID
Final Score: Evanston 11 Mayhem, ID 3 - a 4-run 2nd put the Outlaws in the lead for good. Wilson had 2 hits & 1 RBI. Three other Outlaws had 2 hits each.
Tony Andenucio ‘Nuch Memorial Tournament in Pueblo, CO
Final Score: Cheyenne Sixers 10 Parker (CO) Lightning 2 - Sixers took the lead with 3 in the 1st and never trailed. Tafoya had 4 hits (HR) & 4 RBIs.
