The Burlington boys qualified for the 1A State Tournament as a #4 seed after going 1-2 in the West Regional tournament. The Huskies defeated Meeteetse in that regional to punch their ticket to state and then lost to Dubois and Farson-Eden,

That result gave Burlington a game with eventual state champion Upton in the quarterfinal round of the State Tournament. The Huskies fell behind by 11 points in the first quarter and lost 73-62. It didn't help that Burlington went  3-16 from the 3 point line but this was still a competitive game. The Huskies were led in scoring by Kody Gotfredson with 18, with Eric Davidson chipping in 11 and Ryan McNiven adding 9.

In the consolation round. Burlington stayed alive with a 52-46 win over Kaycee as McNiven and Davidson each had 10 points with Kody Godfredson pulling down 14 rebounds. This time, it was the Huskies that got off to a fast start leading 18-8 after one-quarter of play.

Burlington met Farson Eden in the 5th place game and dropped a 59-33 decision to the Pronghorns to finish 12-10 on the season. The Huskies got 11 points from Ryan McNiven, but as a team, they were 2-19 from 3 point land.

Burlington did have one all-state selection in Kody Gotfredson who averaged 11 points a game. Ryan McNiven, Ian Nelson, and Eric Davidson secured all-conference honors. Those four players were senior so they'll be some new faces on the Burlington squad next season.

Burlington has been one of the most consistent boys basketball teams in the state as they have 15 state tournament appearances in the last 17 years. Here's a short video of the Huskies at the State Tournament in Casper. Enjoy!
