WYOPREPS PREVIEWS THE 2026 EDITION OF THE ALL-STAR SERIES

This is the 50th year of the boys’ series, which features the 99th and 100th games. It will be the 29th year of the annual girls’ series. They did not play in 2020. Last summer, the Wyoming girls snapped a 16-game losing streak against Montana, after an 81-75 victory in Billings. The Treasure State holds a 42-14 advantage in the series. Montana swept the Wyoming boys in 2025, 102-90 and 98-73. They lead the all-time series, 69-29.

Liz Lewis and Shawn Neary, the two head coaches at Gillette College, are the Team Wyoming coaches for the fourth straight year. WyoPreps spoke to both coaches this week to preview the games. We discussed how the two coaches put together their rosters this year, how they’ve adjusted based on personnel and what they’ve learned from past years, their understanding that they have to score to keep up with Montana, what they know about Montana, and a few areas they’ll focus on.
