The Shoshoni Wranglers enjoyed a solid effort at the 2A 2021 State Wrestling Tournament in Casper with a pair of state champions. Tryton and Pehton Truempler each took home the championship medal and those brothers were keeping a keen eye on each other during the tournament.

Tryston was the 2A 160 pound champion with a pin over Jacob Goodrich at Wright at the 1:32 mark of the match. The senior had a plan and made it work quickly to end the season with a record of 37-2. That was the 2nd state title of his career as he won the 152-pound crown in 2020. He's a solid all-around athlete and had a great year in football for the Wranglers this past season.

It took Pehton Truempler a grand total of 20 seconds to win the 2A 145 championship with a pin over Riggen Walker of Kemmerer. Pehton went right to work and that was that. As a sophomore, he went an incredible 41-1 and certainly has a bright future ahead of him.

We had a chance to talk with Tryston and Pehton Truempler after their matches in Casper and they shared their thoughts on winning that coveted state titles.
