The Campbell County Recreation Center Fieldhouse in Gillette will host the 2023 Wyoming High School Indoor Track State Championships this weekend.

Thirty-one teams are competing in two classifications at this year’s state championships. The top eight in each event will receive medals. The top four boys’ and girls’ teams in each class will receive trophies.

Three state records were set at last year’s championships. Those were by Campbell County in the girls’ 4x400 meter relay, Sheridan’s Carter McComb in the boys’ 55-meter dash, and Sheridan in the boys’ 1600 sprint medley relay.

Nine finalists will advance in the Triple Jump, Long Jump, and Shot Put. Eight finalists advance in the 55-meter dash, 55-meter hurdles, and 200 meters. For the 200 meters, the fastest eight times will advance to the finals. Two heats of four will be run with the fastest times in the final heat.
