The State Indoor Track Meet wrapped up on Saturday in Gillette and there were more than a few outstanding individual performances. In 3A, Star Valley's Valerie Jirak won 4 events. Those were the 55-meter dash, the 200-meter dash, the 400-meter dash, and the long jump. She set four class records in those events. For the boys, Lander's Reed McFadden captured victories in the 55-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash, and 400-meter dash. He added a third-place finish in the pole vault. In 4A, Taliah Morris of Cheyenne East won 3 events, the 55, the 200, and the long jump. Morris set all-class state records in the 200 meters at 25.11 seconds and in the long jump at 19-6.50. Her teammate, Maggie Madsen also won 3 events. She crossed the finish line first in the 800-meter run, 1600 and the 3200. She is just a freshman by the way. For the boys, Kaiden Lee of Natrona also won 3 events, the high jump, the long jump, and the triple jump.

The Cody boys set an all-class state record in the sprint medley relay at 3:37.11.

That's three state records, two class records in 4A, and 21 class records in the 3A division.

In the team standings, Cody won the 3A girls' title and the boys' title as well. Cheyenne East won the 4A girls championship and Sheridan won the 4A boys crown.
