The 4A State Championship was as good as advertised with Sheridan and Thunder Basin playing a thrilling game with both teams showing a tremendous amount of heart. Sheridan jumped out to a 28-7 lead in the 3rd quarter of play, thanks to a couple of touchdowns from Garrett Coon and Jacob Boint. Thunder Basin stormed right back into the game as quarterback Mason Hamilton threw 3 touchdown passes in the 3rd quarter. Sheridan got some breathing room on a 4th quarter TD plunge from Boint and a gutsy fake punt call late in the game. Garrett Coon rang up 130 yards rushing for Sheridan as the Broncs won the 4A title for the 4th time in the last 5 years. Thunder Basin's Mason Hamilton threw for 301 yards and Tanner Richards caught 172 of that. Both teams finished the year 11-1. Here are the highlights from snowy War Memorial Stadium in Laramie.
