Allison Olsen of Douglas Reaches 1000 Point Mark

Douglas Bearcat basketball stand-out Allison Olsen is the latest player to join the elite 1000 point club in the Wyoming prep ranks.

She recorded her 1000th point in the 3A East Regional final vs. Buffalo last Saturday.

Olsen has been averaging 18 points a game along with 7 rebounds per contest. She had a 36-point game earlier this season against Torrington and is shooting 45% from the field.  A year ago, she averaged 11 points a game on a team with current Wyoming Cowgirl player Allison Fertig.

Douglas has been the standard-bearer for 3A Girls Basketball for the last few years with state titles in 2021, 2019, and 2018. The Bearcats probably would have won the state championship in 2020 but the state tournament was canceled due to the pandemic. Douglas is the #1 seed from the East at the upcoming state tournament and will play Mountain View on Thursday in the first round at the Ford Center in Casper.
